Will a robotic lawn mower actually work in Canada's climate?
Yes. Robotic mowers work very well in Calgary during the regular mowing season (spring to fall). They are designed to handle cool-season grasses and frequent short mowing, which suits our climate.
Is my yard even suitable for a robotic mower?
Most Canadian yards are suitable, including typical suburban front and back lawns. The key factors are lawn size, slope, narrow passages, and the number of obstacles like trees, rocks, and garden beds. We can assess your yard and recommend the right model or layout.
Are robotic mowers really worth it compared to a regular mower or lawn service?
For many homeowners, yes. A robotic mower saves you hours of work every week, delivers a more consistent cut, and runs on electricity instead of gas. Over several seasons, that time and fuel savings can offset the initial investment, especially if you normally pay a mowing service.
Are robotic mowers safe for kids and pets?
Modern robotic mowers include multiple safety features such as lift and tilt sensors, collision sensors, and automatically stopping the blades if the mower is lifted or tilted. We also set operating schedules so the mower runs when kids and pets are typically indoors.
